Felix Claßen is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer, and composer whose work unfolds at the intersection of experimental music, ecological inquiry, and expanded listening practices. Grounded in improvisation, field recording, and multi-channel composition, his projects explore relationships between urban environments, geophysical processes, and social space through immersive installations and performances. With his band Lonski & Classen he has performed internationally, collaborating with Yann Tiersen and appearing as support for Air, with concerts across Europe and Japan, including participation in Nuit Blanche in Osaka. His sound work has also been presented at the DAAD gallery in collaboration with visual artist Lucía Alfaro Valencia and within the installation Latent Borders by SISKA at Martin-Gropius-Bau, alongside choreographic collaborations with Miriam Jakob and film projects. A recipient of the Arbeitsstipendium Ernste Musik, he holds an MA in Art in Context from Universität der Künste Berlin, co-founded the Berlin label and studio Osthafen, and facilitates artistic education workshops in experimental radio and sound practices mainly with young people with migration experience together with SISKA at institutions including Akademie der Künste (Berlin Biennale), Floating University Berlin, Scienece Week Berlin and SenseLab, Montral.
